MiaDonna & Company® is an innovative, earth-friendly jewelry company located in Portland, Oregon. MiaDonna® offers the latest in man-made diamond and gem alternatives; while using only the finest recycled gold and platinum for their magnificent American-made settings.
MiaDonna® was founded by diamond consumers who wanted an alternative to the cost and conflict associated with providing diamond jewelry to the consumer while being an advocate for diamond and gem consumers, global societies and the earth. After discovering the origin of her earth-mined diamond ring, Anna-Mieke (MiaDonna® and The Greener Diamond Founder) set out to find herself a conflict free diamond. She soon found that the only true conflict free diamond was a man-made option. It wasn’t long before she discovered that she wasn’t the only one in search of an ethical, environmentally friendly, beautiful and affordable diamond alternative – MiaDonna & Company was born. The name MiaDonna came from her daughter's name Mia and her mother's name Donna. Together they can be translated "My beautiful lady," which Anna-Mieke feels is a fitting description of the products she offers.

MiaDonna® has found a meaningful way to fill consumer demand for high-end, eco-friendly fine jewelry, with a charitable twist. MiaDonna® uses a portion of their proceeds, to rebuild communities struggling from the unethical harvesting of mined diamonds through their charity foundation, The Greener Diamond.
Since the website launch in 2007, MiaDonna® has quickly built a strong reputation and recently won a Portland Business Journal award for “Fastest-Growing Private Companies” in 2012. MiaDonna® has also earned approval from Green America for high standards in environmental sustainability and social justice, while working to solve rather than create environmental and social problems.
Finally, consumers have a viable choice to the controversy associated with earth-mined diamonds and precious metals.

The Greener Diamond Farms - Sierra Leone and Liberia
The Greener Diamond is the charitable foundation of MiaDonna®. Diamond consumers purchasing eco-friendly products at MiaDonna® have now funded two agricultural farms in diamond provinces in Sierra Leone and Liberia, Africa. These farms employ and trains reformed child soldiers to grow food instead of mining for diamonds.

- One of the bi-products of making the MiaDonna Diamond Hybrid is Oxygen! Each one carat Diamond Hybrid, Man Made Diamond or Lab Grown Gem sold in place of an earth mined equivalent prevents up to 250 tons of ore being extracted from the earth.
