What is the quality of a MiaDonna Diamond Hybrid and Mountings?
Durability:
The mathematical formula for a round diamond works like this: for a cut
with exceptional brilliance (rated "very good" or better), the
depth of the diamond will measure between 57% to 65% of the total diameter.
In other words, a 1 carat diamond that is 6.5mm wide and 3.9mm deep will
display an exceptional return of light to the viewer's eye. |
3)
Are there any third-party reports or tests on the MiaDonna Diamond Hybrid?
Our H&A round cut maxed out the meter for fire (colored
light return) and scintillation (sparkle), and scored in the
top percentage for brilliance (white light). |

| 4) How
to pick your type of metal? When it comes to precious metals, it seems like most of us have a color preference--either yellow or white. That sounds like a narrow choice, but it isn't really, because there are lots of variations, especially in the "white" category. There are several metals used in the creation of fine jewelry. By knowing information about the different metals, their benefits compared with each other and their unique qualities you will be able to make a better and more informed decision about purchasing your jewelry. Below you will find information about each of the metal types we use, together with information about which metals are best for particular types of jewelry. Gold Karat There is several karats available for gold. The karat is the gold content of the metal. The karat measures the proportion of pure gold mixed with other metal alloy to make up the final metal. The higher the proportion of gold used in the final metal, the more valuable and expensive the metal will be. So all other things being the same, an 18kt ring will be more expensive than a 14kt ring. • 10kt gold contains 41.3% pure gold. • 14kt gold contains 58.5% pure gold • 18kt gold contains 75% pure gold. The remainder of the metals is made up of a combination of alloys, different metals which can help to give the metal its unique appearance, such as a different color. At MiaDonna Diamond Hybrids we use 14kt and 18kt for our gold settings. Each are relatively hard and durable metals and are suitable for use in all types of fine jewelry and is also suitable for use in jewelry that is worn on an every day basis. It is generally considered that 22ct and 24ct gold are too soft to be used to make wedding rings. In practical terms, 18kt generally holds up to everyday wear better than 14kt as it ages over the years. This is one of the reasons why 18kt is normally preferred for ladies engagement rings rather than a low karat. 14kt and 18kt are each suitable equally suitable for use in dress rings, earrings, pendants, bracelets and necklaces. Many people choose 14kt for their earrings and pendants due to its lower price. Palladium Palladium is the newest trend in jewelry. The popularity of palladium jewelry is ever increasing as people hear about how it stacks up against white gold and platinum! A rare silver-white transition metal of the platinum group, palladium resembles platinum chemically, it's silver-white, has a density of 12. Alone or alloyed with silver or gold, palladium offers some of the same metal working properties as other jewelry metals, and remains tarnish free. It also offers jewelers a sharply different pricing point than either gold, white gold or platinum. It is more precious than silver and whiter than platinum. Because it is also lighter than platinum, nearly half the weight, more intricate necklaces and bracelets can be made capable of bearing larger gemstones with no gain in overall weight. For the same reason, Palladium can be an especially good choice in earrings. With the price of platinum and gold reaching recent highs, use of palladium for jewelry has seen renewed interest domestically and abroad. Of late, an increasing number of white precious metal alloys have been introduced into the jewelry marketplace in answer to industry cries for a true white counterpart to the ever-popular yellow gold. The search has been on for a workable white alloy that stays white, is hypoallergenic and priced more agreeably than the often prohibitive platinum. Platinum Platinum is regarded as the preeminent metal for fine jewelry. It is more rare and more expensive than gold. It is generally 95% pure and one of the only metals that is hypoallergenic (ideal for those with sensitive skin). It is a strong, dense metal and is just about twice the weight of gold. This weight is one of platinum's strongest selling points. In addition to its strength and density, platinum has another remarkable quality - pliability. Just one gram of the metal can be drawn to produce a fine wire over one mile (almost 2 km) long. This quality has enabled jewelers to create beautifully unique engagement rings. Platinum has rapidly grown in popularity in recent years, becoming the new choice for all types of jewelry. Both gold and platinum are durable, sturdy and dependable metals. Either would make an ideal setting for your precious MiaDonna Diamond Hybrid jewelry. But no matter which metal you choose, always remember to keep your ring as clean and safe as possible. Tungsten Tungsten is the new metal for men, and we have it!. With style and strength Tungsten Carbide is a space age alloy with a distinctively masculine look and feel. Tungsten has an unmistakable dark gun metal grey color and an invincible high gloss that sits in a class apart from any other precious metal. Tungsten rings are heavy, and Tungsten Carbide is the hardest of all metals. It is polished to a perfect mirror finish using diamonds, and, unlike other metals, it will retain the exact polish for decades to come. In fact, the only way to scratch a tungsten ring is with a diamond. No other material will affect it. Because it has the highest melting point of any metal known, Tungsten is used in space age applications and leading edge military projects. The hardness and heat resistance of Tungsten is remarkable. It’s tough enduring qualities make it the perfect masculine metal for a man's ring. |

What is my ring size or How do I find the ring size of my loved one?At MiaDonna Diamond Hybrids we realize that you may not know the ring size for a given finger, and we want to help. We provide a printable ring sizer that can help you determine your ring size. Click here to download the PDF. Prior to printing, ensure that page scaling is set to "none" on your print dialog box. Here are some tips to make your ring size measurement more accurate: - Confirm the printed paper size with a ruler. - Pull tightly. The sizer must fit snugly to produce an accurate size. - Don't measure cold fingers. This is when fingers are their smallest. - For the most accurate reading, measure your finger at the end of the day when it is largest. This is where it gets a little tricky! If the ring is for you, you can have your finger measured at any local department store that sells jewelry. If you are buying it for your loved one, then you may want to use one of these suggestions: Borrow one of your partner's rings (from the correct finger) and use the Ring Sizer PDF on this website to determine the size. Make an Impression If she's in the habit of leaving any of her rings lying about, make an impression of one. A bar of soap, a piece of clay or even a piece of bread can be used to take a reliable measurement. Trace the inside You could even trace the inside of the ring on a piece of paper, which can be used to determine an accurate measurement. Try it on for Size Simpler still, just put one of her rings on your own fingers. Push it down as far as it will go and then mark the spot with a pen, or try to remember how far down it went. Then quickly go get that part of your finger sized! Talk to her friends A friend of your loved one can be of great assistance in this particular endeavor. It's not uncommon for one friend to ask another for their ring size as a matter of curiosity. But remember to pick the "secret-keeping" friend. These will all be helpful tools that will send you on your way to the finding that PERFECT RING! If all this fails we will be happy to send you a complimentary plastic ring sizer. Please send us an email with the following information and you will have your ring sizer in 7 to 10 business days. Name: Address: Email: Ring you are interested in: |

Like
with a cultured pearl, the MiaDonna Diamond Hybrid starts with a core
stone, we call this the seed. The seed is then wrapped and aligned with
microscopic created diamond crystals. This is then put into a chamber
of intense heat and pressure. This process then blasted the diamond crystals
into the seed and they literally penetrate into the upper layer of the
seed resulting in the MiaDonna Diamond Hybrid to have an outer layer that
is an infusion of diamond crystals. So… What you see and what you
touch is diamond.
