The MiaDonna Diamond Hybrid® is created by placing a perfectly cut crystal core or substrate into a chamber of intense heat and pressure and infusing lab created diamond crystals, or bonding them at a molecular level, into the outer layers of the crystal core. These Lab created diamond crystals stack up on the core and re align with each other. The finished product is a diamond infused simulant that has a crystal core and a solid outer layer of lab created diamond. The outer layer of lab created diamond will never wear off or detach from the core.
The MiaDonna Diamond Hybrid® averages a D to F in color, VVS1 to VS2 in clarity and is hand cut rating a 1 to 2 on the AGS cutting scale or otherwise described as an excellent to very good cut. Only 1 in 1,000 earth mined diamonds will ever achieve the same cut grade as every single hybrid stone. Our Simulated Diamond Hybrid® is the most beautiful, realistic, natural looking diamond simulant ever created and compliments the finest earth mined diamonds superbly.
The outer layer hardness of MiaDonna’s enhanced form of lab created diamond ranges from 9.6 to 9.7 on the Mohs scale of mineral hardness with only a natural diamond measuring a 10. This outer layer of created diamond once integrated with the core crystal gives our Diamond Hybrid® an overall hardness of 9.1 making the MiaDonna moderately harder than a Ruby or Sapphire and considerably harder than an Emerald. The Hybrid stone, because of its infused outer diamond layer is also nearly two times harder than an ordinary CZ.
 Our Diamond Hybrid's® outer layer of lab created diamond is non-porous just like a natural diamond. The everyday use of soaps, lotions and beauty products that ultimately destroy common CZ is no match for this Hybrid stone. CZ is very porous and allows these everyday beauty products to penetrate its surface making cleaning difficult and ultimately discoloring the stone over time. The Hybrid's outer layer of lab created diamond will not allow soaps, lotions, dirt or grim to penetrate it eliminating the potential for these foreign materials to damage the stone.

How to care for your MiaDonna jewelry
MiaDonna Diamond Hybrid’s® are susceptible to the same types of peril that could cause a natural stone to chip or crack. While the hybrid stone is incredibly hard, it is not indestructible. It is important that you adhere to the following guidelines for wear and care of your MiaDonna Diamond Hybrid® :
1. Be sure to remove your jewelry when doing activities or duties which would strike, repeatedly wear, knock or potentially damage your MiaDonna Simulated Diamond Hybrid jewelry.
2. Never put multiple earth-mined and/or lab-created precious stones and gems together as this could scratch your stone.
3. Keep lotions perfumes, oils, cake soap, and skin oil away from your jewelry. Please keep your stone clean as this will ensure maximum fire and brilliance. For cleaning instructions click here.
4. The easiest way to clean your MiaDonna® jewelry at home is to use warm water, mild dish soap and a (very soft) children’s toothbrush.
5. The most effective cleaning method for jewelry is ultrasonic cleaning. Professional ultrasonic cleaning machines are now available at MiaDonna.com. You can also see your local jeweler for ultrasonic and steam cleaning.
