Setting Your Center Stone

Process

For stone setting inquiries, whether it's placing a third-party diamond into a MiaDonna setting or having a MiaDonna lab-grown diamond, gemstone, or Diamond Hybrid® set into a third-party setting, please contact help@miadonna.com. Provide the exact dimensions (length x width x depth) of the stone and its value for confirmation. Note, you'll cover return shipping costs if the order is canceled. Email us directly to initiate the process.

Cost & Timeframe

Setting a third party or customer's loose stone is $250* plus return shipping ($30) and will take 5-7 days to complete and ship. All completed items are sent highly insured and signature required via UPS 2-day air. Third party settings valued at $5,000 or higher will incur additional charges, quoted at time of order.

Purchasing a Setting Only

Customers purchasing a setting only and using their own center stone are not eligible for the Platinum discount. A 10% fee will be added to the cost of a MiaDonna ring if purchased without a center stone. There will also be a $250 setting fee for a customer provided center stone.

Liability/warranty

Setting a loose stone in a customers' mounting is subject to inspecting the ring setting first hand. In some cases, repair work may be required on the setting before the stone can be set. For example, the ring setting might need a new head or prongs to accommodate the new center stone. If this is the case, you will be called to confirm what needs to be done and informed of any additional costs. On the rare occasion that a center stone cannot be set, the ring setting will be shipped back to the customer at the owner’s expense.

Please note, MiaDonna is not responsible for any breakage to a non-MiaDonna stone or damage to a non-MiaDonna setting when performing these services. In the highly unlikely event this were to occur, we would be happy to work with you on a discounted ring or stone to replace the damaged item. We strongly recommend getting your ring insured against theft, loss, or damage prior to getting a stone set.
