MiaDonna was founded in 2005 with a single objective:

To offer consumers beautiful, ethical, and affordable diamonds that would help free innocent families oppressed by the active conflict diamond mining industry.

That was the birth of the lab-grown diamond industry.

WHAT SETS US APART

We're the rebels. The misfits.

The ones who see and do things differently.

We're about creating traditions, not following them. Traditions that won't negatively impact you or the earth.

We're putting a modern twist on an antiquated industry; making beautiful, ethical and affordable diamond jewelry attainable by all.

We promise to continue being an advocate for diamond mining communities, global societies, and the earth. And with your help we will continue to create a Greener Diamond future for all.

BUILT UPON A FOUNDATION OF GIVING BACK

When MiaDonna founder, Anna-Mieke, learned the origin behind her own earth-mined diamond, she became passionate about finding a conflict-free option. Knowing there had to be others who shared this passion, she set out to create the world's most innovative, beautiful, and socially responsible bridal jewelry line. As a result, MiaDonna (named after her daughter Mia and mother Donna) was born in 2005.

Lab-Grown Diamonds as we know them today didn't exist back then, and social enterprises were still in their nascent stages. With tragic stories from families in diamond mining communities ringing in her ears, Anna-Mieke worked tirelessly with scientists to develop the technology to successfully create 100% real diamonds in a laboratory.

Her efforts became a multi-billion dollar industry that put the earth-mined diamond industry on notice, empowered thousands, and finally gave consumers an option for fine jewelry that didn't come at the expense of people or the planet.

The MiaDonna Difference

HOW IT WORKS

MiaDonna and The Greener Diamond Foundation were created together to work as a system towards the common goal of bringing beauty and love back to diamonds by repairing the damage caused by unethical diamond mining.

People purchasing eco-friendly diamond jewelry from MiaDonna eliminate the need to mine for these natural resources. It is also the funding source to build agricultural projects in diamond mining communities so that the locals can farm instead of mine. We like to say that we grow diamonds so we can grow food!
