Next time you visit Adelaide and you’re looking for sustainable places to stay, eat, or shop at, check out our list below! We put together a Sustainable City Guide to Adelaide, Australia with some of the best spots you can experience during your time down under.
1. Stay at the Mayfair Hotel
A beautiful 5-star hotel that also practices sustainability and has a beehive on their rooftop? Yes please, bees! The Mayfair Hotel has been very strongly embracing and utilizing the local Australian produce and installed beehives on its roof to provide fresh honey-infused cocktails, dishes, and menus. Executive Chef, Bethany Finn, even kept the bees in her own home while the Mayfair prepared for their arrival! Their rooftop home also includes lots of plants to help with the wind and provide water. How cool is that?

2. Eat at GoodLife Pizza
This Aussie pizza joint sources all organic, fresh produce for their pizza and other side dishes, so you can be certain that your food is coming from good places! They spend time in the local farms, markets, and with organic growers to make sure they’re getting the best possible items for their food; they put in the extra time and effort as to not compromise the quality.
In terms of sustainability, the National Association for Sustainable Agriculture Australia named GoodLife Pizza as Australia’s first certified organic pizza place in 2004, while it’s extended its efforts to become carbon neutral in 2008. All of the carbon produced by GoodLife is offset through the NSW Carbon Abatement Scheme. You can surely feel good about grubbing down on this pizza!
