Mt Tabor

Fun Fact: Mount Tabor Park in Southeast Portland is home to one of four ancient cinder cones in the metro area, which is why we chose Mt. Tabor as one of coolest places to pop the question. But... let’s not forget that Mt. Tabor is surrounded by nearly 200 acres of green space and home to fantastic views of the Portland and Mt. Hood.

Tip: On Wednesdays they close the park off to all motor traffic and the only time you may encounter a crowd is during concerts or the adult soapbox derby races, be sure check out the park's online calendar when planning for your big moment.

Maryhill Stonehenge

Ok, so we might be pushing it here as this location is not actually in Portland, rather it is about an hour and half drive down I-84 in Washington state, but let us assure you - it is absolutely worth the drive if you are looking to propose at a truly unexpected location.

The Maryhill Stonehenge is a replica of Stonehenge in England. The landmark is located in Maryhill, Washington - off U.S. Highway 97, about two miles from where it enters Washington from Oregon, by crossing the Columbia River. The Maryhill Stonehenge was commissioned in the early twentieth century by businessman Samuel Hill and dedicated on July 4, 1918 as a memorial to those who had died in World War I.
