Tip: On Wednesdays they close the park off to all motor traffic and the only time you may encounter a crowd is during concerts or the adult soapbox derby races, be sure check out the park's online calendar when planning for your big moment.

Maryhill Stonehenge

Ok, so we might be pushing it here as this location is not actually in Portland, rather it is about an hour and half drive down I-84 in Washington state, but let us assure you - it is absolutely worth the drive if you are looking to propose at a truly unexpected location.

The Maryhill Stonehenge is a replica of Stonehenge in England. The landmark is located in Maryhill, Washington - off U.S. Highway 97, about two miles from where it enters Washington from Oregon, by crossing the Columbia River. The Maryhill Stonehenge was commissioned in the early twentieth century by businessman Samuel Hill and dedicated on July 4, 1918 as a memorial to those who had died in World War I.

America’s Greenest City - eco-conscious proposal ideas

Did you know? Portland is the first U.S. city to enact a comprehensive plan to reduce CO2 emissions and has aggressively pushed green building initiatives. Portland was also named as the #1 Greenest City in America by Travel+Leisure in 2015, making it the perfect location for eco-conscious couples to get engaged.

Multnomah Falls

While it may not be the most unique location to propose, Multnomah Falls has the views to make your moment one to remember - as it's known to be one of the most beautiful places in the world. If your partner is an outdoor enthusiast who loves to ski, snowboard or hike, then Mt. Hood is the perfect location for you. No matter what the season is, it will be easy to find the ideal moment on the slopes or while hiking the numerous trails to proclaim your love.
