Here is an overview of the important information customers shipping to New Zealand should know before purchasing online from MiaDonna.
Shipping Fees and Timeline
MiaDonna charges a 150 USD shipping fee on all orders shipped to New Zealand which includes insurance. All orders are shipped via FedEx International Priority (signature required) which takes one business day to reach New Zealand, then on average 1-10 business days to be inspected and released from customs. The timeline for release is up to the local Customs Department, and unfortunately, MiaDonna has no way to expedite this process.
Duties & Taxes
MiaDonna does not collect import fees or GST (15%) at the time of order. Any associated fees will be payable to the New Zealand Customs Department.
New Zealand import duties on a lab-grown diamond engagement ring are 5% the cost of the ring.
If you purchase a loose lab-grown diamond (not set in a ring setting), you will not be required to pay import duties.
Good & Service Tax
A Goods and Service Tax (GST) of 15% will be applied to all orders imported into New Zealand. GST will need to be paid on the value of the goods imported at the same time and in the same manner as customs duty is paid. The value of the taxable importation is the sum of:
- the customs value (CV) of the imported goods
- any international transport and insurance costs (shipping fees)
- import duty
- Import entry transaction fee (IETF) – $29.26 NZD
- Biosecurity levy – $23.41 NZD
MiaDonna processes all transactions in USD. For your convenience, we provide an estimate NZD price that is based on real-time currency exchange rates updated on a daily basis.
MiaDonna offers a 30-day return policy on all orders shipped to Australia excluding custom and sales items. Please read our official return policy for full terms and conditions.
To return your order, please email email@example.com to request your RMA number and return instructions. MiaDonna will provide a full refund on a returned product providing it meets our return guidelines, less the original $100 shipping fee which is non-refundable. Unfortunately, we are unable to cover shipping costs back to our facility.
It should also be noted that duties and associated customs fees will not be refunded if the item/order is returned because you changed your mind, the item doesn't fit, or because you do not like the item. Please refer to the New Zealand Customs Service website for further information.
